Susan O’ Neil, 22, from County Londonderry, Northern Ireland has been awarded the Noble Foods Food Technology and Science Award when she graduated from Harper Adams University in late September.
The award is presented to the student who produced the best food technology dissertation.
Senior lecturer, Martin Anderson said: “Susan undertook a study looking at intrinsic factors in be
ef cattle that might affect water holding capacity this research is important as yield can be significantly reduced.
“Understanding which inherent factors of cattle that can influence this could allow for processing similar batches together to optimise abattoir performance.”
